F.O.P. & FOPA Scholarships (UPDATED May 2026)
Scholarships are awarded annually by FOP 116 and FOPA 69 lodges. Eligible recipients must be a member of the FOP or FOPA, a member’s spouse, a member’s child, or the member’s grandchild. Members must be in good standing with the lodge for them or their family members to be eligible. Members must log in to obtain the scholarship guidelines and application form.
A member in good standing requires the member’s yearly dues to be current and attendance or participation by the member in three or more meetings or FOP/FOPA sponsored events per scholarship year, which runs from May meetings through April meetings. The maximum number of yearly scholarships is limited to two per recipient. These means that each member, their spouse, children, or grandchild are each eligible for two scholarship awards.
The scholarships are awarded based on scholastic merit, economic need and goals in life. The recipient must pledge that it will be their intention to complete the training and/or school for which the assistance is awarded. The recipients of the scholarships and the total amount of assistance will be decided by the Education Assistance Committee which is comprised of members of our FOP and FOPA lodges.
The application form with listed instructions, requirements, and due dates are on the "Downloads" section of this web site which is accessible to members by logging in to the “Members” sections.
